Thank You from Carl Dancek - (the 2000 ref)

Hello Fellow B-Ball Referees;

Its DONE---- February 6; 2012 @ Mathew Halton High School Carl D. reached a personal goal --- a milestone --- 2000 basketball games refereed and registered with Alberta Basketball with the Far West Basketball Assoc. and of course with the Lethbridge Assoc. --- SABOA. I know I refereed more games -- not --santioned with Alberta Basketball. I mean hundreds of games refereed on the Blood reserve and the Pikanii Reserve (Brocket) at Mens and Ladies Tournaments. ( I might add the Assignor knew of this and gave his approval for reasons I can only guess.) The night of 2000 Games was made even more delightful because Trevor V. assigned a 3-Man referee crew

Fettig in Sports Hall of Fame

Bob FettigMost experienced referees will tell you that their idea of a perfect game is when the game is finished no one remembers the names of the officials. It means they just did the job and let the players perform. Most of the time we find ourselves in the limelight because of a tough call or some other on floor event. However occasionally an official gets recognized in a positive manner.
